North Carolina Community Colleges Will No Longer Admit Illegal Aliens

May 13th, 2008

This is a VERY good sign. We need more states to start thinking this way and clear out our public schools of illegal aliens as well. They have NO RIGHT TO AN EDUCATION ON OUR DIME DAMMIT!

RALEIGH, N.C. —  North Carolina’s community colleges will no longer admit illegal immigrants, returning to more restrictive policy on the advice of the state Attorney General’s Office.

Last year, the system said it would enroll illegal immigrants who are 18 years old and high school graduates at all of its 58 campuses. The policy provoked heavy criticism, especially from the leading candidates for governor.

The system later asked North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper for guidance on whether the admissions policy was legal under federal law. Last week, Cooper’s office suggested the system drop the admissions policy.

On Tuesday, the community colleges said it would follow the advice from Cooper’s office.

Let this be an example to ALL community colleges. Americans are sick and tired of you giving away our tax funded benefits to illegal aliens.  We have become the welfare program for needy people in ANY country and we are strained beyond belief with paying out more and more and getting less.  Enough is enough!  Illegal aliens need to GO HOME and fix their own countries and that includes Visa overstays and Visa abusers too!

Governor of Rhode Island Cracks Down on Illegal Aliens - Cites High Costs to State

April 26th, 2008

Gee what do you know? Illegal immigration is costing the state money? According to Geraldo Rivera and many others who support ILLEGAL immigration - illegals contribute more to the economy than they take away.. Guess that is only true if you try to cover up exactly how much they are costing by burying their statistics and NOT counting ILLEGAL immigrants and instead mixing them in with legal immigrants by calling them all “foreign born”. This has been the trick of our pro-illegal government to hide the actual costs of illegal aliens - by using code words to bury all of that information. Once you start extracting THE TRUTH, the numbers are STARTLING and this is what the Governor of Rhode Island found when he issued his executive order to get to the bottom of it.

Illegal Immigrants, Partly Blamed for State Budget Crisis, Face Crackdown in Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Rhode Island’s closest international border is the Canadian one, about 200 miles to the north. About 11 percent of the 1 million people who live here were born in another country, and estimates say that a third or fewer of those people are in the country illegally.

But Gov. Don Carcieri says illegal immigration has become such a problem — and cost the state so much money at a time that it is grappling with a $568 million budget deficit — that last month he signed an executive order directing state police to crack down on illegal immigrants.

Now here is something that really flips my lid. Apparently “religious leaders” are jumping into this political debate over illegal immigration. Last I heard, religious organizations are tax exempt BECAUSE they are not permitted to participate in influencing our government. If these religious “leaders” want to jump into this political debate and try to influence it, then they need to give up their tax exempt status and pay like everyone else!

After meeting with concerned clergy Friday, Carcieri refused to rescind his order. But he agreed to create an advisory committee that will monitor how it is enforced.

I applaud this Governor and those in the State Government who support him. He now joins the short list of politicians with a SPINE such as Tom Tancredo, Mayor Barletta, Dana Rohrabacher, Ted Poe and Duncan Hunter.

Carcieri has denied the timing of his order was politically motivated. He faults Congress for failing to reform national immigration policy and said the state government must enforce the law.

Democratic Rep. Jon Brien backs Carcieri’s order and has submitted legislation to take it a step further by requiring every private employer in the state to use the same federal database to check the immigration status of their new hires.

“The workforce in the state of Rhode Island should be a legal one,” Brien said. “It puts everyone in the state on a level playing field.”

The state’s agreement to enforce immigration law is still being worked out, but State Police Maj. Steven O’Donnell said once in place, it will allow officers to inquire more deeply about the immigration status of anyone they contact if there’s a reason to think they are here illegally. That could be people who are arrested, motorists stopped by police or witnesses who report crimes.

Oh and here it comes.. the same old argument about “profiling” and shows the pro-illegal lobby is clinging to anything they can use to make it more difficult to enforce the law. Here it is in plain language - if you are not breaking the law, if you have come here legally and you have proof, you have nothing to worry about from the crackdown on illegal immigration. If you are here illegally, then you SHOULD be afraid and that means the crackdown is WORKING AS INTENDED! I don’t give a DAMN if illegal aliens are afraid - they have come here illegally and dammit they SHOULD be afraid and they SHOULD be living in the shadows. We don’t want people “living in the shadows” - we want them to GO HOME or come here legally!

Critics warn of racial profiling, and fear the measure will make illegal immigrants scared to contact police if they are a victim of crime or witness one happening.

Juan Garcia, who works with immigrants at St. Teresa of Avila Church in Providence, held a meeting about Carcieri’s order shortly after it was signed. Anxious people wanted to know if they could still renew their driver’s licenses or pay state payroll taxes without being identified as illegal immigrants, he said.

Like I said before WORKING AS INTENDED!!!! Where can I sign up to help IDENTIFY ILLEGAL ALIENS? And here’s a point I don’t know that I have heard and it’s an opinion I have had all along. Why exactly do you think there is such a backlash against Mexican/Hispanic illegals and not as much against Asian illegals? BECAUSE THEY ARE SMARTER AND THEY ASSIMILATE EVEN WHEN THEY ARE HERE ILLEGALLY. They don’t go around speaking their native language and flaunting it. They don’t stand out by waving flags from their native country and shooting American patriots the finger. They don’t go around demanding rights. They keep quiet. They learn English. They blend in. Had Mexican and South American illegals done this, do you think we would have noticed really? We would have wondered why our economy was being drained and would not have realized perhaps it was the flood of illegals. But instead, Latino illegals are arrogant and they are proud to live in a country illegally and get over on us. They are proud to wave the flag of the country they fled from which I really don’t understand AT ALL. If your country is so great, then WHY ARE YOU HERE????

Celebrate May 1st as LOYALTY DAY

April 23rd, 2008

Illegal aliens are NOT INVITED to celebrate LOYALTY DAY 2008 because they are only loyal to their home countries and not to the United States. Did you realize that in 2003, a public law was enacted to label May 1st as Loyalty Day? Why is it that we have not heard of this or see any Walmart ads pushing loyalty to one’s country on May 1st?

Loyalty Day, 2003

By the President of the United States of America

A Proclamation

To be an American is not a matter of blood or birth. Our citizens are bound by ideals that represent the hope of all mankind: that all men are created equal, endowed with unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. On Loyalty Day, we reaffirm our allegiance to our country and resolve to uphold the vision of our Forefathers.

Our founding principles have endured, guiding our Nation toward progress and prosperity and allowing the United States to be a leader among nations of the world. Throughout our history, honorable men and women have demonstrated their loyalty to America by making remarkable sacrifices to preserve and protect these values.

Today, America’s men and women in uniform are protecting our Nation, defending the peace of the world, and advancing the cause of liberty. The world has seen again the fine character of our Nation through our military as they fought to protect the innocent and liberate the oppressed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. We are honored by the service of foreign nationals in our Armed Services whose willingness to risk their lives for a country they cannot yet call their own is proof of the loyalty this country inspires. Their service and sacrifice are a testament to their love for America, and our soldiers’ honor on and off the battlefield reaffirms our Nation’s most deeply held beliefs: that every life counts, and that all humans have an unalienable right to live as free people.

These values must be imparted to each new generation. Our children need to know that our Nation is a force for good in the world, extending hope and freedom to others. By learning about America’s history, achievements, ideas, and heroes, our young citizens will come to understand even more why freedom is worth protecting.

Last September, I announced several initiatives that will help improve students’ knowledge of American history, increase their civic involvement, and deepen their love for our great country. The We the People initiative will encourage the teaching of American history and civic education by providing grants for curriculum development and training seminars. The Our Documents initiative will use the Internet to bring information about and the text of 100 of America’s most important documents from the National Archives to classrooms and communities across the country. These initiatives are important, for it is only when our children have an understanding of our past that they will be able to lead the future.

This Loyalty Day, as we express allegiance to our Nation and its founding ideals, we resolve to ensure that the blessings of liberty endure and extend for generations to come.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 1, 2003, as Loyalty Day. I call upon all the people of the United States to join in support of this national observance. I also call upon government officials to display the flag of the United States on all government buildings on Loyalty Day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this thirtieth day of April, in the year of our Lord two thousand three, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and twenty-seventh.

GEORGE W. BUSH

And why exactly did they make this move? Because traditionally May 1st is celebrated by Socialists and Communists to commemorate a day of martyrdom going back to the Haymarket Riots in Chicago.

From the above link at Wikipedia:

The holiday was first observed in 1921[1] as “Americanization Day,”[2] and was intended to counterbalance the celebration of Labour Day on May Day (May 1), an internationally celebrated holiday which was perceived as communist.

Loyalty Day is celebrated with parades and ceremonies in several U.S. communities, although many people in the United States remain unaware of it. Although a legal holiday, it is not a federal holiday, and is not commonly observed.
It was made an official holiday by the U.S. Congress on July 18, 1958 (Public Law 85-529).[3][4] Following the passage of this law, President Dwight D. Eisenhower proclaimed May 1, 1959 the first official observance of Loyalty Day. [5]

In 2007 President George W. Bush issued an official proclamation of the May 1, 2007 Loyalty Day in accordance with the 1958 Congressional declaration,[6] as have many of his predecessors.

Strangely and coincidentally enough, the pro-illegal activists have chosen that same day to MARCH IN OUR STREETS DEMANDING CITIZENSHIP AND A PATH TO LEGALIZATION FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS.

I challenge every patriotic American to spread the word about LOYALTY DAY and show illegal aliens their crappy May Day marches do not compare to the loyalty of the majority of this country’s legal citizens and we WILL NOT TOLERATE the marching in our streets by illegal aliens on ANY DAY!

Illegal Alien Found Working in Rhode Island State Office

April 17th, 2008

Recently Governor Carcieri of Rhode Island issued an executive order cracking down on illegal aliens and lo and behold that has flushed out an illegal alien working in a state office in Rhode Island!  Amazing what happens when you start enforcing the laws!

These illegal aliens treat identification like a deck of cards. They pull the one out they think will fool you and they have several more available if you don’t like what they offer!  Unbelievable!

Exclusive: Illegal immigrant arrested in state office

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WNAC) - Police have arrested an illegal immigrant from Bolivia at a state office after a worker was prompted to call them by Governor Carcieri’s executive order cracking down on illegal immigration.

Police identify the suspect as 31-year-old Mario Chirinos, of 96 Priscilla Avenue, Providence.  They arrested him Tuesday after a worker in the state contractor’s office was prompted to call them after she noticed the license Chirinos presented did not have a state seal and became suspicious.

When the worker called police, Chirinos produced a second ID with a different name, address and date of birth. That ID was a Rhode Island operator’s license in the name and date of birth of Effrain Tarquino, age 34, of 364 Academy Avenue, Providence.

During an interview with the suspect, Chirinos told the state police that he was a citizen of Bolivia and was attempting to obtain a contractor’s license to install carpeting.
