Illegal Protest

Excellent editorial on the very stale argument trying to paint patriotic Americans who oppose illegal immigration as racists.  And this guy is from “the left” to boot!   This is a very succinct and intelligent take on the attempt by the open borders illegal alien sympathizers who try to paint all Americans who oppose illegal immigration as racists. I love when they do so while wearing black masks on their faces as well.. sort of the pot calling the kettle black so to speak..

It’s actually a trick question. Some of them are, for sure. Racists will always join any movement critical of immigration. So what? This entire argument rests on a fallacious assumption. That the presence of one group in a movement means that all of the other members of the movement share the feelings of that one group.

It’s a very well-known logical fallacy and I wish I could name it for you. It’s very important for aware folks to become aware of all of the logical fallacies out there, because people are using these BS arguments to try to convince you of this or that all that time. Fact is, if you change your mind due to a logical fallacy, you are being fooled. If you do so knowingly, you are a fool. If you use logical fallacies in your arguments, you are either ignorant, a fool or a knowing liar.

People without an argument regularly use this argument to tar opponents with the “crime of association”. This particular logical fallacy is very widely used and manages to convince hundreds of millions of fools of this or that every year the world over.

Yet, just because I associate with someone, or anyone, does not mean that I share any, all or some of their views. Some of the folks I associate with claim to be gang members.

They are kids who live in my apartment complex. I am friends with a Black guy in my complex who wears a stocking over his head, gangster-style. One of the guys I was drinking with at the bar the other night looked like he just got out of prison and had a shirt on with an apparent gang logo.

I’m also friends with a guy who is a White Nationalist-White Supremacist racist, with the usual Nazi sympathies. He pretty much refuses to even so much as speak with anyone who is not White, especially Blacks and Browns. I don’t agree with him, but I’m not going to dissociate with him.

I have friends who are rightwing Republicans and others who are leftwing Democrats and a few who are Communists.

To say that I agree with all of these people would be impossible, as they all hold contradictory views.

Which leads us to the anti-illegal immigration movement. The fact is, a large majority of Americans are opposed to illegal immigration, often ferociously so. Surveys show that 75-80% of Americans are against illegal immigration, and they seem to be getting madder about it every day.

In other words, opposing illegal immigration is simply normal, reasonable American politics. It’s not fanatical or racist or anything like that, unless one wants to make the crazy claim that 80% of Americans are raving racists.

The open borders loons want a completely open border, not just in the South but apparently everywhere. In their insane plan, every single “immigrant”, or now, “migrant” (the words keep changing as they become stigmatized) who strolls across the border gets automatic US citizenship, apparently without any background checks or anything unpleasant like that.

Sure the movement has racists in it, but any rational person also knows that probably the vast majority of those opposing illegal immigration are not profoundly racist people, and if one is opposed to illegal immigration on principle, one is keeping company with 75-80% of the population, including, surely, sadly, but inevitably, some nasty racists.

Few Americans comprehend the financial costs of illegal migration into the United States. Like a cancer, it enters the body while proliferating until, at some point, it destroys the integrity of surrounding tissue. Illegal migration sneaks up on legal American taxpayers who work honestly within their system.

At first, communities and individual taxpayers don’t notice it. But soon, it grows beyond normalcy toward malignancy.With in excess of 20 million illegal alien migrants working and living in the United States today, that malignancy spreads out of control in every state where a sizable population of aliens congregates.Gig Conaughton, reporter for the North County Times, Escondido, California, wrote a piece exposing the horrific costs of illegal aliens in one county.

Conaughton wrote, “A county-commissioned study estimated that illegal immigrants directly cost the county of San Diego and taxpayers $101 million last year, and indirectly cost an additional $155 million in unpaid medical care. Public school costs and a myriad of social-services increase the actual costs, but are not included in the count.”

Illegal alien migrants cost the county roughly $75 million in criminal justice costs, such as jailing, prosecuting and public defender efforts, and $26 million in health, social and other costs. Experts said the estimates proved very conservative.

Kudos to Joe for standing up and taking the time to speak out. This is a beautiful example of what we ALL must do in our daily lives - the battle is not always in Washington - it is in our local supermarkets and stores as well.

Hello my friends tonight I have something to say about an experience that happened to my husband Joe. To all of you who know Joe, you know what a peaceful laid back person he is. Also my husband is not argumentative or an angry person, he is very peaceful and loving. Wherever he goes people just seem to love him, but that does not mean that he is not a strong man, for he is all the man any woman could ever want. He supports me 100% in everything I do, and if you want to see his anger come out in him, it will only be if someone hurts me or any of my children and grandchildren.

Joe usually goes shopping to different supermarkets with flyers on sales and stuff, he enjoys this while I am at work.

Today he decided to go to Shop-Rite looking for stuff that is on the weekly flyers, and he happened to see that they had Knorr’s chicken/beef bouillon’s for sale 2 for $1.00. So he picked up two and with the rest of the groceries proceeded towards the register.

We live in a mostly “white” neighborhood so when he got to the register, he noticed that the two boxes of bouillon registered at $1.49 each. So Joe asked the cashier how come the price was $1.49 for each, when in the flyer it said 2 for $1.00. So the cashier looked at the flyer and looked at the bouillon that Joe was holding and she said………I wonder why the price is different? It registers at $1.49, ….while the lady searches and searches, she finally figures it out and says to my husband Oh! The reason for the difference in price is because the ones on sale are the ones that say “cubitos” in Spanish.
So Joe just looks at her and says huh? What do you mean? So the cashier says if you pick the ones that says bouillon in Spanish those are the ones that are on sale.
The ones that have one word in Spanish…..So Joe says I don’t need the ones that say bouillon in Spanish, I can read English and they should both be priced the same.
So between him and the cashier they end up in an argument about price.
So she says, Sir do you want the bouillons or not? My husband says Oh yes I do want the bouillons but the ones that say bouillons in English, for the same price as the ones that are pandering to Hispanics. He says I believe that this is discriminating against white Americans, why are you charging them more for their Knorrs bouillons in English and cheaper because it reads it in Spanish when its the same freaking brand?

My husband then says I am not moving out of here until the bouillons in English are priced the same as the ones labeled in Spanish because they are the same brand which is Knorrs and if I wanted to read bouillons in Spanish I would’ve gone to the Goya isle. There is no need for that, we speak English in this country.

In the meantime their are people waiting behind him listening to this argument, which in the meantime he apologized to the woman behind him but to his surprise she was agreeing with him. She said this man is absolutely right. So she said go ahead Sir I am with you, and then other people in the supermarket backed up my husband and realized his concern.

My husband said to the cashier I am making a big deal about this because this has got to stop. This is discriminating against white and black Americans, and making them pay more just because of a couple of words in Spanish in a stupid label that it is not necessary.
The manager comes out, listens and tells Joe that he can pay the same price for the Knorrs bouillons and then my husband says thank you, and by the way I am a Hispanic and there is no need to separate white Americans from Hispanics, for that is discrimination. Thank you.
Some white Americans are not realizing that this is the way of taking over America…….take away the English language and where will the white Americans go?

After that my husband called me at work all upset and said Carmen we have got to bring this out in the open and make our American people see that if our English language goes so do they.

We can’t report enough on this blatant declaration of war and animosity against the United States by our southern “neighbor” Mexico. Can anyone imagine Calderon saying this during the administration of just about ANY President other than the useless one we have now? So… a neighboring country basically says we see no border between our countries and your country is our country and our President says .. umm.. nothing????

NEW YORK (CNN) — Mexican President Felipe Calderon Sunday demanded the United States surrender its sovereignty, abandon the rule of law and accede to Mexico’s inherent supremacy.

Lou Dobbs says Mexican President Felipe Calderon is showing “blatant hypocrisy” on immigration.

In his state of the union address to the Mexican nation, Calderon established his imperialistic imperatives: “I have said that Mexico does not stop at its border, that wherever there is a Mexican, there is Mexico. And, for this reason, the government action on behalf of our countrymen is guided by principles, for the defense and protection of their rights.”

Calderon protested the U.S. government’s increased raids on illegal employers of illegal alien employees and work site enforcement. In what is little more than a faint nod to the Bush administration’s responsibility to enforce U.S. immigration law, the Department of Homeland Security had planned to send out notices to employers from the Social Security Administration informing them of non-matching records between an employee’s name and Social Security number. These employers would then be forced to resolve any discrepancy within 90 days or be required to dismiss the employee or face up to $10,000 in fines for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants.

But then, ethnocentric advocacy groups and some labor unions, trying to bolster their membership, sued to stop the crackdown on hiring illegal alien workers. A federal judge in California last week issued a temporary restraining order blocking the plan, giving a victory to the AFL-CIO, the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Immigration Law Center, all of which brought the suit alleging DHS exceeded its authority in making the rule.

That U.S. District Court judge ruled as if she were an employee of the Mexican government, rather than the U.S. government. Homeland Security was simply enforcing existing immigration laws. Are we not a nation that follows the rule of law? If not, we’re no country at all.
