Border Patrol Agent Ignacio Ramos Released from Prison Today!

February 17th, 2009

free border agents Just heard from Robin Hvidston that Ignacio Ramos has been released from his hellish nightmare of prison and solitary confinement!!! This is a great day!  I am trying to find out the status of Jose Compean as well who should be released sometime between now and March 20th as well due to President Bush commuting their sentences.

This has been one long nightmare for Nacho Ramos, Jose Compean and their families and to me it showed me just how corrupt our government has become.  Their imprisonment made NO SENSE whatsoever.

The strange thing is - Nacho Ramos is under some kind of GAG ORDER.  Now when was the last time you heard of someone being released from prison under a GAG ORDER?  I wonder what the terms of that gag order are? Have they threatened to throw him back into prison if he talks? I mean - what freaking country do we live in????  It sure doesn’t seem like the land of the free and the home of the brave any more to me.

Update: This just in from Robin Hvidston - that Jose Compean has also been released today!  She thinks the GAG ORDER is only in effect until March 20th. I can’t WAIT to hear from them and hear about the ordeal inflicted upon them by GW Bush, Johnny Sutton and Kathleen Cardone. I want the WORLD to hear their stories and know that this country is in trouble that this kind of thing can happen to two good men.

Here’s the story on World Net Daily also with a report that several are pursuing a case against Mexico for meddling in this case in the first place. That is WAY overdue. The amount of meddling in this country’s affairs by Mexico is WAY over the line and needs to be stopped!

***NEWS FLASH - BUSH FINALLY COMMUTES BORDER AGENT SENTENCES ON LAST DAY**

January 19th, 2009

ramos An unbelievable turn of events… at LONG last these two good men will be able to return to their families. The timing of this commutation is quite suspicious in my mind. It tells me someone had something on Bush to keep him from doing the right thing sooner. He had to wait till his LAST day in office and I predicted such a thing might happen.

Saw it first on FOX of course.. since most other media outlets BARELY covered this travesty of justice I am sure their commutation will barely get a mention as well.

They are scheduled for release on March 20th. I can tell you I’ll be scheduling my plane tickets to attend the party that will follow and celebrate the END of their persecution under the BUSH Dictatorship.

**Update from Robin Hvidston **

At 9:55am January 19, 2009, Agent Ramos’ father-in-law Joe Loya called Raymond Herrera - sentences commuted.
At 10:30 am Raymond Herrera spoke to Monica Ramos:

RAMOS AND COMPEAN WILL BE RELEASED WITHIN 30 DAYS
as of now “no tentative release date”

They were not exonerated BUT since the sentences were commuted the door is left open for them to seek an appeal  - they can now bring their case  to the “forefront”  before the U.S. Supreme Court.

With a presidential pardon an appeal cannot be put forward.

Man behind controversial Border Patrol trial pleads guilty to drug charges

April 17th, 2008

What a shocker! You mean he wasn’t just a mule trying to help his sick mother by running some drugs just one time? You mean he lied on the stand? You mean maybe he may have lied about having a weapon and being unarmed when Compean and Ramos were trying to stop him from fleeing into Mexico? You mean he’s really a career drug runner? Boy I’ll bet the Ramos and Compean jurors feel like real chumps right about now.

Man behind controversial Border Patrol trial pleads guilty to drug charges

EL PASO, Texas - An illegal immigrant who was at the center of the controversial trial of two former El Paso Border Patrol agents was in Federal Court on Thursday. Osvaldo Aldrete Davila pleaded guilty several drug smuggling charges.

The charges are separate from a February 2005 incident in which Aldrete Davila was shot in the buttocks by former agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso compean.

The two were convicted last year after a jury found they tried to cover up the shooting. Ramos is serving an 11 year sentence. Compean is serving a 12 year sentence.

Aldrete Davila is scheduled to be sentenced in July.

What this article DOESN’T say is that Aldrete-Davila may actually serve LESS TIME than the Border Patrol agents who tried to stop him in 2005. Now THAT is the real crime in this story. And the real criminals are US Attorney Johnny Sutton and Judge Kathleen Cardone as well as EX-Attorney General Alberto Gonzales (SO glad he got BOOTED).

Tonight Sutton appeared on Lou Dobbs Tonight and CONTINUED to claim that Aldrete-Davila was unarmed (only because the drug runner said so!) and that Compean and Ramos lied and covered up the shooting (lies! they covered NOTHING up and you know it GOD DAMN YOU SUTTON I HOPE YOU ROT IN HELL) I hope that conveys my ANGER at this case and my extreme DISLIKE of that scumbag Johnny Sutton. Nothing would give me more pleasure than to see his smarmy ass up on charges for at the very LEAST overzealous prosecution. I’m SICK AND TIRED of the corruption in this government!!!!

Another Border Agent Under Fire for Doing his Job - Nicholas Corbett

February 28th, 2008

Here we go again - another border agent trying to do his job is accused of murder. Unbelievable how the prosecutor is trying to make out Nicholas Corbett to be a cold blooded killer and using the corrupted testimony of the OTHER illegal aliens, all related or friends with the rock throwing illegal alien. Oh I am sure they are being honest.. yeah right!

Murder trial of Border Patrol agent begins with vastly different stories

By Josh Brodesky - Arizona Daily Star

Opening statements began today in the trial of a U.S. Border Patrol agent accused of murdering an illegal entrant last year, with attorneys from both sides presenting radically different stories about what prompted the shooting.

Nicholas Corbett is charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and negligent homicide in the killing of Francisco Javier Domínguez Rivera in January of 2007.

On Jan. 12 of last year, Corbett shot and killed the 22-year-old man in the desert between Bisbee and Douglas about 150 yards north of the border.

The shooting occurred while Corbett was trying to detain Domínguez Rivera, his two brothers and the girlfriend of one of the brothers, all of whom had entered the country illegally from Mexico.

But what prompted the shooting is the key question in the trial.

Prosecutor Grant Woods, a former state attorney general who has been hired by the Cochise County attorney to prosecute the case, said Domínguez Rivera and the three others were surrendering to Corbett.

The four were walking back to the border, when Corbett stopped them, Woods said. He said they were then ordered to get down on their knees and Corbett shot Domínguez Rivera from behind.

“This young man — while surrendering, going down on his knees, putting his hands in the air — from behind was hit, yanked and shot through the heart,” Woods said.

Forensics evidence, witnesses, an autopsy report and a video will support such a description of the shooting, Woods said.

I wonder if the autopsy report will show the huge ROCK he had in his hands. I bet they will find he was STANDING when he was shot. That should shoot some holes in Woods’ theory. Seems the border patrol needs to get dash mounted cameras that cover their apprehensions of illegals so we are not faced with the word of a bunch of Spanish speaking illegal aliens against that of a Border Patrol Agent in cases like theses.

Meanwhile, Sean Chapman, lead defense attorney for Corbett, said Domínguez Rivera was not surrendering at the time of the shooting, but in fact threatened Corbett with a baseball-sized rock.

“Nick Corbett had to defend himself, and he had to defend himself against Mr. Domínguez, who was trying to crush his skull with a rock,” Chapman said.

The decision to shoot was a split-second one, which fell in line with Border Patrol policy for use of force, he said.

Chapman said he will present expert testimony to this effect as well as testimony that will show the shooting could have occurred in a way that matches Corbett’s description.

He also noted that investigators left behind Domínguez Rivera’s gloves at the scene, which he said could have been used to find forensic evidence to show Domínguez Rivera was holding a rock.

Finally, Chapman said the three witnesses were corrupted because of influence from the Mexican consulate as well as the fact that investigators failed to separate them in the hours after the shooting. The trial is continuing throughout the day and expected to last two weeks.

If convicted, Corbett faces a maximum of 22 years in prison.
