Texas Supreme Court tells Mexico and President Bush to go pound sand!

March 26th, 2008

Finally we are starting to see justice prevail and in this case, I couldn’t be a happier person, than to see that Jose Ernesto Medellin will finally get to pay for his crime - the rape and murder of two innocent teenaged American girls.  Medellin confessed in 1993 to participating in the rape and murder of two Houston teenagers. Jennifer Ertman, 14 and Elizabeth Pena, 16 were sodomized and strangled with their shoe laces, and Medellin bragged about keeping one girl’s Mickey Mouse watch as a souvenir of the crime.

Medellin, a former member of a Houston gang known as the Black and Whites, was born in Mexico but has lived in the United States since childhood. He was one of five defendants sentenced to die for the rapes and killings of the two teenagers, after they stumbled into a gang initiation while hurrying home from a party.

However, lawyers for Medellin argued that the defendant was not informed of his right to contact Mexican consular officials after his arrest, thus entitling him to a new hearing on the case.

Despite President Bush petitioning on behalf of Medellin, along with a number of foreign governments including Mexico and the European Union, Justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, Anthony Kennedy and Samuel Alito joined Chief Justice Roberts’s opinion that treaties signed by the U.S. did not obligate the country’s state courts to comply with the World Court’s judgment.

One would think that the President of the United States would side with Americans in wanting to see justice served.  In fact, Digger’s Realm remembers that President Bush shook the hand of one of the fathers of the murdered girls and promised that the dirtbag would never leave death row.

It’s a great day in this country when we finally start to see judges doing their duty to uphold the sovereignty of this country and each state against the pressure to bow to a world court.  Could it be that there is hope that we will not slide into the abyss of a global government as soon as the elites would like? Could it be there are still people in power in this government who have a conscience and remember their promise to support the Constitution of the Unites States?  Seeing any Supreme Court stand up to our Asshole-in-Chief really makes my day and in fact has the potential to make me smile gleefully for an entire week even!

Here’s what Digger has to say about the ruling.

I’ll bet Medellin isn’t so cocky now is he?  I wonder if I can buy some tickets to see this guy expire? I think they should sodomize him and strangle him with his shoelaces.

PROTEST SENATOR McCAIN

Island Hotel

Newport Beach, CA March 25, 2008

Report by Robin Hvidston of Minuteman Project

Minuteman Project, anti-illegal immigration coalitions and concerned citizens staged a protest in front of the Newport Beach Island Hotel where presidential candidate John McCain held a fundraiser

There was a heavy law enforcement presence. If we stepped on the hotel lawn, the police immediately arrived and told us to get on the sidewalk.

We protested McCain at this same hotel a year ago when he was the losing candidate and the hotel let us roam all over the lawn, even put up signs, and there was no police presence.

Jerkwad of the week - Maryland Governor O’Malley

March 26th, 2008

O’Mally Sticks it To the Citizens of Maryland Pro-illegal governor Martin O’Malley showed just how far he is willing to go to silence the free speech of anyone who opposes him and complains about his disastrous pro-illegal alien policies in the state of Maryland. What a PUSSY if I say so myself, that a man can express frustration and wish to strangle the governor and the governor has him ARRESTED with 2 MILLION DOLLARS BAIL!

Yet the very same Governor threatened ON THE AIR to kick someone’s ASS. I suppose kicking of someone’s ass is not a verbal threat eh Governor O’Malley? But a WRITTEN sentiment that someone wants to strangle you is?

This is outrageous abuse of power and it reeks of tactics used by any good dictator and is the same kind of abuse of power that WE fought during our independence struggle in the 1700’s. This Governor and his minions are nothing less than British Royalty ruling over their subjects.

I suggest that this man contact the ACLU so they can defend his right to express frustration about his government and exercise his right to FREE SPEECH. Apparently THIS Governor has no idea what constitutes FREEDOM OF SPEECH. He needs a swift KICK IN THE ASS. Are you going to arrest me too Governor O’Malley? Because if I ever see you in person, I will most certainly KICK YOU IN THE ASS. Just like you said on the RADIO to that talk show host Governor O’Malley. I hope the good people of Maryland show YOUR ASS out the door of the Governor’s Mansion in short order. In fact, I hope they run you out of office ON A RAIL.

And 2 MILLION dollars for this infraction? GIMME A BREAK! Below I will list the bail set for some other crimes such as raping a child that were set WAY BELOW 2 Million dollars. What idiot judge set that kind of bail for this kind of thing?

Folks - this is government OUT OF CONTROL at it’s worst.

Walter C. Abbott Jr. has sent e-mails from time to time to the governor and state legislators complaining about losing construction work to illegal immigrants.

He never received anything but a form-letter type response.

This week, the 44-year-old Parkville man added something extra to his e-mail: a threat to strangle Gov. Martin O’Malley.

Within five hours, three Maryland state troopers responded to the e-mail. Abbott was arrested Tuesday and charged with threatening a public official.

He was being held Thursday night at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $2 million bail.

Abbott’s wife of 23 years, Linda, said the e-mail was sent in frustration and that her husband would never actually hurt anyone.

“He was just mad. He’s lashing out. It was just words,” she said tearfully. “He’s a hard-working man. He’s always supported us. All he wants is work. And these illegals are taking his work.”

But Greg Shipley, a spokesman for the state police, which assigns a trooper to accompany O’Malley and several other officials at all times, said state police investigated the threat and arrested Abbott after consulting with Baltimore County prosecutors.

Such threats are investigated on a routine basis, he said, although he declined to characterize them as “common.”

A construction worker, Walter Abbott puts up drywall and does other work for a variety of subcontractors. He earned about $22,000 last year, according to court records.

His wife said that he has been losing jobs in recent years to illegal immigrants who seek work from the same contractors. “It’s been so tough here, trying to pay the bills,” she said.

He has e-mailed complaints about the governor’s immigration policies, but never received any real response, his wife said.

On Tuesday, at 7 a.m., Walter Abbott logged onto O’Malley’s official Web site. He wrote a letter expressing his frustration with illegal workers in the area. And, according to charging documents, he wrote that he was going to kill the governor by strangling him.

Abbott signed the letter with his full name, address and phone number.

Two hours later, the governor’s executive protection unit contacted a sergeant with the state police. At 11:50 a.m., Sgt. Adam Stachurski and two other troopers went to Abbott’s Parkville home.

He admitted sending the e-mail and told the troopers that he blames O’Malley for his struggling construction business, according to charging documents.

At a bail review hearing on Wednesday, Baltimore County District Judge Bruce S. Lamdin ordered that Abbott be evaluated by a psychiatrist with the state’s Health and Mental Hygiene Department.

The defendant’s wife said she hopes that authorities soon realize that her husband is not a danger to the governor.

“When we first moved into our house, we had mice. We put out sticky traps and he’d peel the mice off them and take them across the street to let them loose in the fields,” she said. “He’s not a person who would hurt anyone.”

Some info on the setting of bail can be found here

The Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits excessive bail. The amount of bail should not be more than what is reasonably necessary to keep the arrestee from fleeing before trial. In practice, however, judges often set very high bail for drug, rape, or murder cases. This acts as preventative detention, and keeps the arrestee in jail until a verdict is reached.

Examples of bail set in other recent crimes

Adelfa Rodriguez - assisted a murderer in disposing of his bloody clothing, and threatened a witness to that event, saying that she “would cause serious physical injury to said person. Bail set at $100,000

Jorge Martinez, accused of paying for sex with the teen in August, remained jailed on $10,000 bond Tuesday on a sexual assault of a child charge. The gang apparently targeted runaways and other girls with unstable homes, and if the girls refused to have sex for money the members beat and sexually assaulted them and threatened their families, Dean said.

Diego Rodriguez, 19, and Martin Reyes, 17, were charged with counts including engaging in organized criminal activity, aggravated kidnapping and trafficking of a person. Rodriguez, held on $170,000 bond, did not have an attorney, and a lawyer for Reyes, held on $150,000 bond

Scott Donavan, 34, with a history of violent sexual assault broke into a West Tisbury home and violently attacked and raped a 36-year-old woman early Monday morning, according to town and State Police. He is scheduled to appear before Edgartown District Court Judge Donald Carpenter this morning, when he will have an opportunity to seek a reduction in the $1 million bail. Mr. Donavan was arraigned on nine charges: breaking and entering a dwelling at night to commit a felony; assault to rape; armed assault in a dwelling (a firearm); assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a knife); assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a rock); kidnapping; aggravated rape; and larceny of a motor vehicle.

Carlos A. Vasquez, 37, is charged with the Oct. 13 murder of Irma
Armendariz by beating her to death with a baseball bat. His bail is
$100,000.

Jaime Granados, of Gaithersburg MARYLAND has also been in and out of jail at least since July of 2005. Charges have included assault, resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, trespassing, disorderly conduct and various alcohol violations. On June 23 of 2006, he was arrested for trespassing. In July, an FTA warrant was issued, and he was picked up on August 23. He sat in jail until September 25, when charges were dropped and he was released. About three weeks later, on October 10, he was charged with 2nd degree assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. This time, bail was set at $17,500

Again in MARYLAND Montgomery County authorities said Milton Calderon-Melendez, 25, of El Salvador, is an admitted member of the MS-13 gang. He’s accused of conspiracy to commit attempted murder in the August stabbing, just weeks after he was released on bail for an assault on a 15-year-old boy. His bail in that case was? $2500!

Here are the details of why he was arrested the FIRST time.. remember he is known MS-13 gang member and KNOWN ILLEGAL ALIEN :

On the night of July 18, two Montgomery County police on surveillance duty near the intersection of Lost Knife Road and Odenthall Avenue in Gaithersburg said they observed Calderon-Melendez punch Kiana Snowden, 15, in the face. He was promptly arrested and later admitted to being a member of the violent MS-13 street gang. Calderon-Melendez was then released on $2,500 bail until his trial on Aug. 17, which he never appeared for.

Had enough examples yet? Are you now convinced that there are two sets of justice in this country? One if for citizens and in most cases they get the HARSHEST PUNISHMENT. The other is for illegal alien invaders and repeat criminals who seem to get off with paltry bail amounts despite the fact they have a very high flight risk and a very high rate of recidivism.

So now, when you look at the infraction committed by Walter Abbot, do you SEE the unfairness, the absolute ridiculousness, the absolute ABUSE of power???? I’m SO sick and tired of the abuse of power by most in this government.

Here is what I PROMISE - not threaten. Every last one of you power abusers and corrupt scumbags in office will be looking for new jobs in the next year or two because Americans HAVE HAD IT with all of you!!!!!

Case DROPPED against Joey Vento over Speak English sign in restaurant!

March 20th, 2008

What great news! I heard this in passing on the local news (I live near Philadelphia) and found the details on a google search. I’m not sure why the local patriots were not informed of his hearing or we would have been there. I suspect it was the court’s intentions to make it difficult to give advance notice because they didn’t like all the Joey Vento supporters there the last time.Speak English

So here are the details are reported by World Net Daily only an hour ago:

A Philadelphia restaurant has been cleared of a discrimination complaint triggered by the owner’s sign telling patrons, “This is America. When ordering, please speak English.”

“This is a great victory,” owner Joey Vento told WND today after the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations ruled his sign could stay in the window of Gino’s Steaks South Philadelphia landmark store.

The controversy began in October 2005 when Vento put up a small bumper-sticker size sign.

On June 12, 2006, the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations launched on its own initiative a discrimination case against Vento. It alleged the sign violated the city’s Fair Practice Ordinance by discouraging the business of non-English speaking people, including, most importantly, Hispanic-speaking immigrants.

“Joey is now totally vindicated,” his lawyer Al Weiss of the Philadelphia firm Blinder & Weiss told WND in a telephone interview. “The Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations found Joey was within First Amendment rights to post the sign at his business.”

Weiss told WND he was surprised Vento won at this level.

“We fully expected to lose the case before this commission,” Weiss said. “The commission itself brought the complaint and heard the complaint. We thought we were going to lose and have to appeal, but the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations did the right thing.”

“There was no testimony in the eight-hour hearing that found Joey or Gino Steaks did anything that violated the law,” he said. “Joey never turned away anybody from any protected group from getting served at the restaurant.”

During the controversy, Vento got national print media coverage and publicity that included multiple interviews on talk radio and appearances on Fox News.

“This is the sign that woke up the United States of America,” Vento proudly proclaimed.

I just KNOW there’s some celebrating in South Philly tonight over this one. And to all the people who attacked Joey Vento’s and Geno’s for the sign - hoo ha how’s it feel to be WRONG? This gives me a very strong feeling the 2008 will be the year that common sense returns to the illegal immigration situation.. Hazelton will win it’s appeal and the Border Agents will have their convictions overturned and they will be released. I just feel it .. you know?
