Picture this - a member of the Minutemen threatening the exact same thing against illegal aliens. Wouldn’t the press be all over it claiming the Minutemen were VIGILANTE? But take a Hispanic GANG and you see no such label. Double standard? Just a BIT!

HARTFORD, Conn. — A group of unidentified Hartford Police officers have sent a letter to the chief, assistant chief and deputy chiefs, alleging that they have been threatened by a city gang.

The officers from the South Patrol Division said that they have been threatened by the Los Solidos street.

In a letter to the chiefs, the officers wrote that , “South officers have been blatantly threatened by the Los Solidos street gang.”

The officers said that the gang members, beginning in three months, “will blow up squad cars” and “shoot an officer who approaches them.”

The officers said gang members are in the process of obtaining bulletproof vests.

The Los Solidos, or the Solids, are a mostly Hispanic gang, organized to deal drugs. Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Jamie Roth reported that the gang was especially dangerous during the 1990s.

Roth reported that the Solidos is re-emerging in the same neighborhoods that it terrorized during the 90s: the corners of Franklin and Shultas and Park and Zion. Police said officers are being shot at mostly at the intersection of Park and Zion streets.

The South Patrol officers said their information comes from intelligence.

Roth reported that a Hartford officer ducked a bullet at the location in January and a massive manhunt for the shooter followed.

“We take the security of our officers very seriously and it is of paramount concern,” said Deputy Chief Paul Hammick. “We have taken the necessary steps in the South End and throughout the city to make sure our officers have up-to=date intelligence of any threats to their safety. However, we do not discuss specific strategies as they relate to our investigation of gang activities.

So.. I would think the police in CT might want to start raiding the homes of suspect gang members like NOW and arrest them just for having bullet proof vests. Time to go on the OFFENSIVE before we have a town that is under SIEGE like we have seen in California. There are sections of LA where police don’t even go - did you know that?

ATTACKS ON OFFICERS DEMAND PUBLIC ATTENTION

LOS ANGELES, August 8, 2007 – The Los Angeles Police Commission yesterday discussed the significant increase in the number of shootings at police officers in 2007. Assaults on police officers have risen by 39 percent as of the six month mark this year. In response to the remarks by Chief Bratton made at the Police Commission meeting, Tim Sands, President of the Los Angeles Police Protective League has issued the following statement:

“While we agree with the Chief’s assertion that shooting at police officers is ‘idiocy,’ we think that the spike in these cases is deadly serious, and demands further public attention. Where is the public outcry? A successful police department is a department that is supported by its community and elected officials. The officers who protect Los Angeles need the community and the media to support their police department and the men and women who risk their lives every day to keep our streets safe.”

Voice of the People USA are holding a rally this Saturday on the Capitol steps in Harrisburg, PA to support Mayor Barletta and State Rep Daryl Metcalfe, who has introduced legislation to fight illegal immigration into the Pennsylvania House. Daryl Metcalfe has also formed a coalition of state legislators - Lawmakers for Legal Immigration -  which now includes 30 participating states.

Digger will be speaking among many other passionate patriotic friends so if you are able to make it to Harrisburg for this rally it would be wonderful!

We hear there will be a large turnout of the opposition for this rally, mostly made up from an anarchist group called One People’s Project and we hear from Dan Smerglio that the ACLU is fighting the right of Voice of the People USA to have this rally, which is providing some free advertising. Thanks ACLU! It’s about time you spent some of your money promoting us for a change.

Someone sent me this post in an email (Vince from NJ) and I thought it was very well written as a summation of what is wrong with allowing Elvira Arellano to be some kind of “immigration activist martyr”. I only recently did the research to find the exact US Penal Codes that apply to Elvira and Fungazi has found the same information which we should ALL quote when we call our House and Senate representatives to protest these two bills in the house to PARDON this DAMN FELON BEATCH.

Elvira Arellano’s deportation to Tijuana on August 19, 2007 has been viewed in the U.S. and Mexico as evidence of an enhanced immigration crackdown in an American society growing increasingly frustrated and intolerant with the estimated 20 million illegal aliens who now flood our streets, our schools and our hospitals with their growing demands for rights and privilege, while the rights and privilege once enjoyed by the American citizen are being washed away in a flood of political change. However, in this modern world where everything we see and hear is subjected to a thick coat of propaganda and every word of our nightly newscasts is carefully selected to impart the maximum bias in a direction that is always implied but never spoken, can any among us honestly claim to know the essential truth of any given event? Arellano’s motivations will forever remain the topic of interpretation and we may never know everything about the circumstances of her case, but her actions left a trail that can be followed, and those actions speak loud enough by themselves.

There is no doubt that Elvira Arellano was a criminal, her continued unauthorized presence in a country from which she had previously been deported in 1997 defines her status as a criminal. Her use of fraudulent Social Security documents as well as her failure to report to the Chicago immigration authorities as she promised to do when she was initially released to care for her son, further substantiate her criminal intent to violate the laws of the United States. The unauthorized re-entry of a previously deported illegal alien is a felony punishable by a maximum of 10 years imprisonment (8 USCS 1326 (b).) and Elvira Arellano’s presence in the U.S. after her previous 1997 deportation is a matter of record. When she was apprehended in Chicago in 2002, she was working as a janitor at O’Hare International Airport under a false Social Security number which she supplied during the hiring process. She was convicted of working under a false Social Security number. The false representation of a Social Security account number with intent to deceive for any purpose is a felony under the provisions of 42 U.S.C. § 408(a)(7)(B). A conviction for Social Security Fraud carries a maximum penalty of 5 years imprisonment and a maximum fine of $250,000. Instead of deporting her immediately, the Chicago immigration authorities allowed her to be released on her written promise to turn herself in to the immigration authorities in August 2006. She subsequently failed to keep this promise and evaded apprehension by hiding out in the Adalberto United Methodist Church, a storefront operation on Chicago’s West Side that offered her “sanctuary.” Her failure to appear as promised is a crime which can result in an arrest warrant, fines, and other penalties as deemed appropriate. Even if the other charges against her were dropped, which in this case would be unlikely, she could still be prosecuted for failure to appear.
